Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to purchase a Written Worlds service or membership. If a personalized reader book is intended for a child or minor, the purchaser and contracting customer must be an adult. If you act for an author, company, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms and provide project materials on its behalf.

2. Website use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with site operation, misuse forms or checkout, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, impersonate another person, or use the site to violate another person's rights.

3. Services and project scope

Written Worlds may offer ghostwriting, manuscript and publishing support, personalized reader books, reader memberships, author websites, book promotion support, listing setup, book discovery, and related creative services. A checkout description, written quote, project blueprint, membership disclosure, or service agreement identifies the approved scope. Quote-only services do not become payable projects until scope and pricing are approved.

4. Prices, payments, taxes, and promotions

Checkout prices apply only to the selected service and approved options. Custom requests, additional revisions, longer books, priority placement, rush work, taxes, printing, shipping, domains, hosting, software, advertising spend, stock assets, platform fees, and other third-party costs may be separate. Promotions apply only to eligible services during the stated offer period. Refunds for discounted purchases are based on the amount actually paid.

5. Written for You purchase options

Written for You Personalized Reader Books are offered separately from customer-owned ghostwriting. The approved standard length is 15,000–20,000 words. The approved base offers are a Monthly Reader Membership at $7.99 per month, an Annual Reader Membership at $79.99 per year, and a One-Time Personalized Book at $9.99. Monthly and annual memberships include one standard-length personalized ebook per month. The annual plan includes up to twelve monthly standard-book entitlements during the paid annual term, subject to the request and production rules below.

Longer personalized books use the published length-based price or membership upgrade shown before payment. Projects above 100,000 words require a custom quote and separate schedule and are not automatic membership upgrades.

6. Membership entitlements and request timing

A paid membership provides the applicable monthly personalized-book entitlement only while the membership is current. During initial launch, unused monthly personalized-book entitlements do not roll over and no unused credits are stored. To target delivery within the same billing period, the customer should complete required preferences by the fifth day of that billing period. Late, incomplete, or materially changed intake information may move the project to the next available production window and does not create an additional entitlement.

Only one membership book may be actively in production for a customer at a time. Additional one-time books may be accepted and queued separately after scope and capacity review.

7. Automatic renewal and recurring charges

When recurring billing is activated, the Monthly Reader Membership will continue and charge $7.99 each month until canceled, and the Annual Reader Membership will continue and charge $79.99 for each annual renewal term until canceled, unless a different price is clearly disclosed and accepted as required by law. Any required taxes are additional.

Before recurring payment is collected, Written Worlds will present the recurring price, billing frequency, renewal nature of the membership, cancellation method, and any minimum purchase obligation in a clear manner and obtain the customer's affirmative consent. A retainable acknowledgment of the applicable recurring terms and cancellation information will be provided after enrollment. Where advance renewal notice is required, including for applicable annual renewals, Written Worlds will provide the required notice before the cancellation deadline.

8. Cancellation and membership end date

A customer may cancel a recurring membership before the next renewal is processed to stop the next recurring charge. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid billing period. Canceling does not automatically create a refund for a period already paid, but applicable refund rights remain available under the Refund Policy and law.

At launch, self-service membership pauses are not offered. A customer may cancel at period end and later rejoin subject to then-current pricing, scope, and availability. When recurring checkout is activated online, Written Worlds will provide an online cancellation method, which may include a customer billing portal, an online cancellation link, or a designated cancellation email mechanism.

9. Failed payments

A new monthly personalized-book entitlement is not issued until the applicable recurring invoice is successfully paid. A membership may be marked past due or suspended from new fulfillment while payment remains unresolved. Previously completed and delivered books remain subject to their existing personal-use license.

10. When work begins

Work may begin after payment, receipt of required materials and preferences, project intake, and scope confirmation. A payment does not require Written Worlds to begin work before necessary information, permissions, access, customer approvals, or capacity review are complete. Written Worlds may record a production-start event for refund and fulfillment purposes.

11. Standard delivery timing

For an accepted standard 15,000–20,000-word Written for You project using standard scheduling, the target delivery window is 21–30 calendar days after required preferences are complete and accepted. This is a target, not an unconditional guarantee. Longer books receive a separately confirmed schedule. Customer delays, material scope changes, force majeure events, third-party outages, or circumstances outside Written Worlds' reasonable control may require an updated delivery estimate.

12. Revisions

One limited preference-alignment revision is included for a Written for You personalized reader book when requested within 7 calendar days after delivery. The included revision is intended to correct a material mismatch with the confirmed preferences or scope. It does not include a full-story rewrite, replacement premise, substantially new plot, material word-count expansion, or unlimited revisions. Additional work may require a separate quote.

13. VIP Priority Placement

VIP Priority Placement requests the earliest available eligible production slot and is subject to capacity. No more than five VIP projects may be accepted per calendar month, and accepting a VIP request may never delay, cancel, displace, or extend a delivery window already confirmed for a standard customer.

The approved VIP fees are: +$9.99 for 15,000–20,000 words; +$14.99 for 20,001–40,000 words; +$19.99 for 40,001–60,000 words; +$29.99 for 60,001–100,000 words; and a custom priority quote for projects above 100,000 words. A VIP request is not confirmed merely because the customer selects or pays for priority. Confirmation requires complete intake, approved scope, available capacity, completed payment, and formal Written Worlds acceptance.

For an accepted standard 15,000–20,000-word VIP project, the target delivery window is within 7 business days after all start conditions are complete. Longer VIP books receive a separately confirmed delivery window. The VIP Priority fee and personalized-book payment are refundable in full if the customer cancels before production begins. Once production begins, the VIP fee is normally non-refundable. If Written Worlds misses a confirmed VIP delivery commitment for a reason attributable to Written Worlds, the VIP fee will be refunded automatically.

14. Reader preferences, eligible requests, and content boundaries

Written Worlds may accept fiction genres it can reasonably produce and review. Supported reading categories may include Adult, New Adult, Young Adult, Middle Grade, and Children. Written Worlds may reject requests involving unlawful instructions, sexual content involving minors, exploitative or non-consensual sexual content, targeted hateful abuse, doxxing, impersonation, infringement of third-party rights, specialized professional advice presented as such, unverifiable factual claims requiring professional verification, or other content outside the supported service or safety standards.

15. Ebook and paperback delivery

EPUB is the standard ebook delivery format. PDF may also be offered when the project formatting supports it. Digital delivery should use a private, expiring download link sent to the verified customer email or another secure authenticated delivery method.

Paperback copies are not included in the standard ebook price. A paperback quote may depend on final page count, trim size, color requirements, print supplier, shipping destination, taxes, handling, and a disclosed service margin. The customer must approve the paperback quote before payment.

16. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for accurate project information, timely communication, requested approvals, rights-cleared materials, and access to any customer-controlled platform account needed for the project. Delays, missing materials, changed instructions, or unavailable third-party accounts may change the schedule or require additional scope.

17. Ownership and licenses

Customers retain ownership of materials they submit and of approved customer-owned custom manuscripts and deliverables, subject to full payment and any separately disclosed third-party license restrictions. Written Worlds retains ownership of its pre-existing templates, systems, workflows, code, internal tools, and reusable materials that do not contain customer-specific confidential content.

Written for You personalized reader books, whether requested through a membership or as a one-time personalized book, are different from customer-owned ghostwriting. Written Worlds retains authorship, copyright, publishing, adaptation, distribution, resale, and other commercial rights in those books. The reader receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for private personal reading only. The reader may not publish, sell, sublicense, redistribute, commercially exploit, claim authorship of, or create unauthorized commercial derivatives from the personalized reader book. A paperback purchase transfers ownership of that physical copy only, not copyright, publication rights, or other intellectual-property rights.

18. Customer-supplied content

You may submit only content you own, created, licensed, or have permission to use. You are responsible for permissions involving manuscripts, excerpts, covers, logos, photographs, testimonials, music, fonts, artwork, trademarks, names, likenesses, and other third-party material. Written Worlds may pause or reject work that creates legal, safety, rights, or platform concerns.

19. AI-assisted workflows

Writing, planning, drafting, editing support, research organization, design planning, or administrative work may use AI-assisted tools. Written Worlds remains responsible for delivering the confirmed service, but AI output may require human review and may not be error-free. Legal, medical, financial, academic, and other professional advice is not included unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

20. Confidentiality and project materials

Written Worlds will use submitted project materials and reading preferences for the requested service, quote, support, fulfillment, or administration of the customer relationship. Highly sensitive information should not be submitted unless necessary and covered by a separate confidentiality agreement.

21. Third-party platforms

Written Worlds may assist with or link to Amazon, KDP, Stripe, PayPal, hosting providers, domain registrars, email providers, analytics tools, print suppliers, and other services. Those providers control their own accounts, approvals, fees, availability, security, delivery, refund procedures, and policy decisions. Written Worlds does not guarantee approval or uninterrupted operation by a third party.

22. Amazon book purchases

Books linked from Written Worlds are purchased through Amazon. Amazon controls checkout, pricing, availability, delivery, returns, refunds, account support, reviews, and rankings for those purchases. Direct Written Worlds service payments are separate from Amazon book purchases.

23. Refunds and cancellations

Direct service cancellations, membership cancellations, delivered work, duplicate charges, third-party costs, promotional purchases, VIP Priority fees, and refund requests are governed by the active Refund Policy and any customer-specific written agreement. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

24. Advertising and publishing results

Written Worlds does not guarantee publication approval, sales, rankings, reviews, bestseller status, search placement, advertising performance, audience growth, or acceptance by Amazon or another platform. Promotional and publishing services provide the confirmed work, not a guaranteed commercial result.

25. Suspension or termination

Written Worlds may refuse, pause, or end a project or membership fulfillment for nonpayment, unlawful or unauthorized content, abusive conduct, security risks, repeated failure to provide required materials, or requests outside the approved scope. Payment and refund treatment following cancellation will be handled under the Refund Policy and applicable written agreement.

26. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and services are provided with reasonable care, but the site may occasionally be unavailable and third-party platforms may change without notice. Except for promises expressly stated in a purchased scope or required by law, Written Worlds disclaims warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Written Worlds will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, sales, rankings, opportunities, or data caused by third-party platforms or customer-supplied materials. Written Worlds' total liability relating to a paid service will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

27. Applicable law and dispute forum

Written Worlds operates as an Internet-based business and may provide services to customers in multiple jurisdictions. These Terms are subject to applicable United States federal law and any state, local, or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded based on the transaction, the customer, or the parties involved. These Terms do not designate a particular state as the exclusive governing law or venue in this business-policy draft. Any dispute must be brought in a court or other forum that has lawful jurisdiction over the parties and the dispute, unless the parties agree in writing to another permitted process or applicable law requires otherwise.

28. Changes to these Terms

Written Worlds may update these Terms prospectively. The version displayed and affirmatively accepted when checkout begins governs that transaction unless a later written agreement signed by the parties states otherwise. Material changes to an active recurring relationship will be communicated when required by law.

29. Contact and cancellation requests

Questions about these Terms may be sent to written.worlds.exist@gmail.com. Until a self-service online cancellation portal is activated, an eligible recurring membership cancellation request may also be submitted electronically to that address. Written Worlds will provide any additional online cancellation method required before live recurring enrollment begins.
