Marketplace Disclaimer
Effective July 20, 2026 | Version 2026-07-20
1. Current platform status
Written Worlds currently provides book discovery and author-service support. Some books link to Amazon or another external retailer. The current site is not an automated direct-sales marketplace for third-party books, and author payouts or commission-based book sales are not active unless expressly announced under updated terms.
2. External retailer purchases
Amazon or the selected retailer is the seller or checkout provider for purchases completed there. Written Worlds does not control the retailer's price, inventory, delivery, taxes, returns, refunds, account support, reviews, or ranking system. Visitors leave Written Worlds after confirming an external purchase link.
3. Independent author content
Authors remain responsible for rights, accuracy, metadata, descriptions, audience guidance, and purchase links. Written Worlds may review submissions but does not independently verify every factual statement or rights claim. Displaying a book is not a legal, editorial, or quality guarantee.
4. Paid promotional placements
Paid Book Spotlight placements and similar paid features are advertisements and must be labeled Paid Advertisement or Sponsored Advertisement. Paid placement does not mean Written Worlds guarantees or independently endorses every claim in the book or promotional material. Payment does not guarantee sales, rankings, reviews, clicks, impressions, or continued retailer availability.
5. Editorial and paid placement
The site distinguishes ordinary Written Worlds-owned book listings, unpaid discovery listings, and paid author advertisements. Paid placements use a clear advertising label rather than relying only on words such as "Featured," "Spotlight," or "Promoted."
6. Ranking and presentation
Presentation order may be influenced by editorial organization, recency, category, site design, campaign placement, or paid promotional placement when clearly labeled. Paid placement does not represent an independent quality ranking.
7. Rejection, correction, and removal
Written Worlds may reject, correct, pause, or remove listings involving unclear rights, inaccurate information, broken links, infringement claims, unlawful material, misleading promotion, platform-rule conflicts, or security and safety concerns.
8. Copyright or rights concerns
To report a concern, email written.worlds.exist@gmail.com with the title or work involved, its location on Written Worlds, a description of the concern, your contact information, and evidence of ownership or authorization when appropriate. This contact process is not represented as a registered DMCA agent process.
9. Future marketplace features
Before Written Worlds activates direct third-party book sales, author commissions, payouts, subscriptions, or fulfillment, new marketplace terms, payment rules, tax procedures, payout schedules, chargeback rules, seller verification, fulfillment rules, and updated privacy disclosures must be published and accepted.
10. Related policies
This disclaimer works together with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Author Terms.
